Prayer for God’s protection is crucial in the life of a child of God. In Psalm 127:1, the Bible says, “Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. In vain, you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat– for he grants sleep to those he loves.”
With God’s protection upon you, evil will not come near you. That is why you need to always pray for God’s protection.
A Prayer For Protection
To pray for God’s protection, say, “Father in Heaven, hallow be thy name. You are the maker of heaven and the earth. The earth and its fullness belong to you, Almighty.
Lord, if you do not watch over a city, the city keepers watch in vain. I pray thee to watch over me and all that concerns me. Give your angels charge over me so that I would not fall into the hand of my enemies.
Without you, Father, I can do nothing on my own. Protect me from evil and guide my going out and my coming in with your merciful hands. Give heed to my prayers, for I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!.”
