The creator and director of The Chosen says he’s singularly focused on producing new seasons but would “love” to develop a series about the book of Acts once he’s finished. Dallas Jenkins said his current focus is on making Season 5 of The Chosen, although he acknowledged he enjoys stories about the early church.
He revealed that Season 7 will include scenes from the beginning of the Book of Acts, spotlighting the “launch of the ministry of the disciples.”
“We’re not going to go very far in the book of Acts at the end of Season 7,” Jenkins told media members during a virtual news conference. “But I would absolutely love — and I’m hopeful — that I can continue telling the story of the birth of the church and the greatest moment in history. So right now, I’m just focused on Season 5.”
Jenkins previously joked, “After I nap for about a year when The Chosen is done, we’ve got other Bible stories to tell because the demand seems to be so strong.”
